September 22, 2025 | The Bureau of Fire Protection Buenavista launches its 3rd Join-Train-Respond (JTR) Firesquare Roadshow 2025 at the Municipal Gymnasium of Buenavista today.

Municipal Fire Marshal FSINSP Ralph Ian S. Colima warmly welcomed the guests and participants. In his speech, he emphasized that the J-T-R Firesquare Roadshow reflects BFPโ€™s commitment to building a safer and stronger community.

“This is not just an ordinary training,” he said, “but a call to actionโ€”empowering students, stakeholders, and employees to respond effectively in times of emergency. Together, we can build a stronger and safer Buenavista.”

Representing Mayor Roble, Municipal Administrator Atty. Juselle Tricia Roble-Mones extended the LGUโ€™s gratitude to BFP Buenavista for organizing a program that teaches the youth essential life-saving skills, including CPR, bucket relay, rappelling, ropemanship, firefighting, and rescue in zero visibility.

She expressed her hope that the participants would treat the experience as a blessing and share what they learned with their friends, families, and communities.

FSSUPT Jerome T. Reano, Officer-in-Charge of the BFP Regional Office, highlighted the vital role of the youth in nation-building:

โ€œAng kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan at ng ating kinabukasan.โ€

He explained that the BFP chose to train the youth because they are bold, capable, and future leaders. He also thanked the Municipality of Buenavista and the parents for allowing their children to take part in meaningful, real-world learning that could one day save lives through basic life support.

The participants were students from Rizal National High School, Guinabsan NHS, Sangay NHS, Lekda NHS, and Simbalan NHS.

The event was graced by Provincial Fire Marshal FSINSP Kenneth Jan S. Delos Reyes, MLGOO Yul O. Guerta, EOD technician PMSGT. Bryan Olaguer, Midwife Rezalita Potoy
