December 15, 2025 | Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble, together with acting MDRRMO Hazel M. Albor, received an ANGELL Award plaque and a cash prize worth โฑ100,000 after Buenavista was named Most Resilient LGU in Agusan del Norte during the awarding ceremony held at Malvar Hall, Balanghai Hotel, Butuan City.
Individual awardees were also recognized for excellence in the delivery of services in their respective departments:
Ms. Laura M. Balbutin โ 3rd Place (โฑ15,000), Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officer
Ms. Colyn Sajulga โ 3rd Place (โฑ15,000), Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar (Brgy. Matabao)
Mr. Felix S. Balansag โ 1st Place (โฑ60,000), Municipal Assessorโs Office with the Highest Assessed and Newly Discovered Taxable Properties
Mr. Michael D. Rivera โ 3rd Place (โฑ10,000), Outstanding Fisherfolk Awardee
Barangay 4 โ 1st Place (โฑ60,000), Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa (1stโ3rd Class Category)
Meanwhile, LGU Buenavista was awarded 3rd Place (โฑ100,000) as Best Municipal Nutrition Program Implementer and 1st Place in the Local Legislative Award (1stโ3rd Class Municipality) category.
The ANGELL (Accelerating New Dimensions on Good Governance and Excellence in Local Leadership) Awards is an annual recognition that honors outstanding performance and best practices of LGUs in advancing local governance in the Province of Agusan del Norte. This yearโs theme, โChampioning Good Governance: Nurturing Peace and Sustaining Excellence,โ underscores the Provincial Governmentโs commitment to enhancing public service delivery and improving the quality of life of its constituents.
The awarding ceremony was led by Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, together with Vice Governor Hon. Enrico R. Corvera, 2nd District Representative Cong. Dale B. Corvera, SP Members, and the guest speaker, Secretary of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity, Hon. Carlito G. Galvez Jr.
