November 20, 2025 | Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by Municipal Information Officer Mr. Glenn S. Jaen and Executive Assistant II Mr. Henry C. Bungabong, personally received the trophy and a cash prize worth โฑ30,000 during the Division Athletic Meet 2025 held at the Nasipit Central Elementary School Grounds.
The Municipality of Buenavista garnered a total of 103 gold, 64 silver, and 91 bronze medals.
DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Jeanie L. Mativo, CESO V, expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. In her message, she challenged the Agusan del Norte athletes to bring home gold medals in the Regional Meet and hopefully compete in Palaro 2026.

Nasipit Mayor Roscoe Democrito B. Plaza turned over the key of responsibility to the Municipality of Buenavista as the host for the next three consecutive years of the Division Athletic Meet.
On behalf of Mayor Roble, MIO Glenn S. Jaen and Executive Assistant Henry C. Bungabong accepted the key and banner as the next host of the Division Athletic Meet 2026-2029. Mr. Jaen said “Buenavista accepts the challenge and the opportunity to host the next Division Meet.” He invites everyone by saying “See you in Buenavista!”.
The Regional Athletic Meet 2026 will be held on February 15โ22, 2026 in Surigao City, while Palaro 2026 will take place in Agusan del Sur.
The event was attended by all Public Schools District Supervisors in Agusan del Norte, athletes, coaches, and DepEd teachers.
