August 12, 2025 β Gov. Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante led the awarding ceremony for the medalists of the Palarong Pambansa, Regional Athletic Meet, and Campus Journalism at the Provincial Capitol Covered Court.
Cong. Dale B. Corvera, ably represented by Mr. Orencio S. Corvera, expressed his gratitude and pride in witnessing the young athletes achieve victory. βYou are all champions,β he said, adding that he hopes they will continue to excel and assuring them of his unwavering support.
Meanwhile, Gov. Amante commended all the athletes for their outstanding achievements. βWe are just returning the favor to you. We know how hard you have worked through training,β she said. Gov. Angel also encouraged the athletes to promote sports as a means to address mental health issues. βDaghan pamoβg ma-adtoan sa kinabuhi. Do not waste the life that you have now,β she added.
Palarong Pambansa Medalistsβ Prizes:
Gold β β±50,000 (β±10,000 for coach)
Silver β β±30,000 (β±8,000 for coach)
Bronze β β±20,000 (β±5,000 for coach)
Regional Medalistsβ Prizes:
Gold β β±25,000 (β±5,000 for coach)
Silver β β±10,000 (β±3,000 for coach)
Bronze β β±5,000 (β±2,000 for coach)
Mayor Joselito T. Roble commended the Buenavista athletes for excelling in sports during the Regional Paragames earning 11 golds, 7 silver, and 1 bronze in Palarong Pambansa.
The municipality also produced numerous winners in the Regional Athletic Meet, ranking 1st overall with 180 gold medalists, 206 silver medalists, and 108 bronze medalists.
The event was graced by Vice Gov. Enrico R. Corvera, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, various municipal mayors, coaches, DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Jeanie L. Mativo, CESO V, Public School District Supervisors, school heads, and principals.
