November 16, 2025 | Mayor Joselito T. Roble graced the opening of the Division Athletic Meet 2025 held at Nasipit Central Elementary School (NACES).
Over 680 Buenavista delegates marched confidently during the Saludo, proudly wearing their red uniforms with unity and pride as they represented the municipality.
Nasipit Mayor Roscoe Delocrito B. Plaza warmly welcomed all delegates from the different municipalities, expressing his hopes for everyone to enjoy the event and engage in healthy competition. He also announced that Buenavista will be the next host of the Division Athletic Meet in 2026.
Buenavista Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble, together with Public School District Supervisor Ms. Adelaida S. Pacon, proudly raised the banner of Buenavista.
Provincial Governor Hon. Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, ably represented by Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Hon. Virgilio Escaseรฑas Jr., emphasized in his message that athletes are not only representing their schoolsโthey carry the hopes of their families, communities, and the entire province. He added that the Province of Agusan del Norte is committed to building future champions.
The event was also attended by Vice Governor Hon. Enrico R. Corvera; Cong. Dale B. Corvera, represented by Mr. Orensio S. Corvera Jr.; Municipal Mayors of Agusan del Norte; Sangguniang Bayan Members from various municipalities; and DepEd officials.
