October 7, 2025 | Mayor Joselito T. Roble led the Executive and Capacity Development (ECAPDEV) Agenda Formulation Workshop held today at Oazis Hotel, Butuan City.
Municipal Information Officer, Mr. Glenn S. Jaen, warmly welcomed the department and section heads, expressing hope that the four-day workshop would serve as a blueprint for shaping a more progressive municipalityโaligned with the tagline โBuenavista on the Rise.โ
Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble emphasized the importance of setting a clear direction for the Municipality in 2026. He encouraged the municipal heads to take this opportunity to define the kind of leadership and governance that will elevate Buenavista. Mayor Roble underscored the need to embrace innovation for effective and smart solutions.
โEveryone should be willing to learn, grow, adapt, be proactive, and live with foresight and urgencyโalways with purpose,โ he stated.
Mayor Roble also expressed gratitude to DILG Provincial Director, Ms. Ellen Vee P. Chua, and MLGOO Yul O. Guerta for their consistent support and guidance in helping Buenavista truly rise.
Meanwhile, DILG PD Chua highlighted the importance of conducting an organizational diagnosis focusing on six capacity development pillars: placement of people, competence, management systems, enabling policies, knowledge and learning, and leadership. She hopes that the targets will be achievable within three years, with annual assessments in place to track progress.
The 4-day workshop is facilitated by Ms Ormela Mae M. Beluan LGOO VI, Outcome Manager, DILG ADN.
