August 28, 2025 | The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga Region awarded the Local Government Unit of Buenavista as a Partner Beneficiary of Project Lawa at Binhi during the awarding ceremony held at Watergate, Butuan City.
Municipal Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by Municipal Administrator Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble, received the โGawad Klimalasakit Awardโ and a certificate of recognition for the LGUโs unwavering dedication, exemplary service, and vital contribution to the successful implementation of Project Lawa at Binhi under the Risk Resiliency Program.
DSWD FO Caraga ARDO, Mr. Jean Paul S. Parajes, expressed his gratitude for the successful implementation of the project, which aims to provide livelihood, hope, and resilience to sustain communities in times of calamities and disasters. This aligns with the vision of President Ferdinand โBongbongโ Marcos Jr. of ensuring that โno Filipino will go hungry.โ
DSWD Central Office DRMB Director, Maria Isabel B. Lanada, PhD, also gave her inspirational message via Zoom, saying: โMay our partner beneficiaries take care of their projects in order to sustain their daily needs, stay healthy, and prevent sickness.โ
Other LGUs in Agusan del Norte that also received the award include LGU Jabonga, LGU Santiago, LGU Las Nieves, and LGU Tubay.
