December 4, 2025 | The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) awarded LGUs operating the eLGU System during an event held at the LMX Convention Center, Bancasi, Butuan City.
Mayor Joselito T. Roble personally received the award together with Municipal Treasurer Ms. Thelma D. Pitogo and Business Permits and Licensing Officer Ms. Eden Calo for being one of the DICT Operational LGUs in the implementation of the electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System in the Caraga Region.
The eLGU System provides easy access to the following services: business permits, barangay clearances, local civil registry services, community tax certificates (cedula), news and articles, building permits, and working permits.
Buenavista is one of the LGUs in Agusan del Norte that has adopted the eLGU System.
DICT also highlighted the eGovPay application, which helps simplify government payment processes. It reduces operational costs, enhances customer experience, and ensures easier reconciliation of transactions through improved data management while supporting a wide range of payment methods. LGU Buenavista will soon adopt all DICT-supported services.
The event was attended by Local Chief Executives in the Caraga Region, together with their Treasurers and BPLO representatives.
