December 1, 2025 β€” Mayor Joselito T. Roble, together with MSWDO Officer Ms. Maria Bernadita M. Quijano, led the 2025 Children’s Congress at the JP Satorre Gymnasium.

In his Local State of Children Report, Mayor Roble highlighted the LGU’s strengthened programs anchored on the four core rights of children: Survival, Protection, Development, and Participation. He emphasized that Buenavista continues to expand initiatives that give every childβ€”especially those from vulnerable sectorsβ€”greater opportunities to grow and thrive.

For Survival Rights, the LGU invested in Maternal and Child Health Services, National Immunization, Newborn Screening, and Supplemental Feeding for malnourished children. Under Development Rights, the LGU boosted support for education through scholarship programs, youth and sports development, and subsidies for Child Development Workers.

Mayor Roble also underscored the intensified efforts of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), which leads programs for psychosocial intervention, support for CICL and CAR, and assistance for child victimsβ€”upholding strong Protection Rights.

To strengthen Participation Rights, the LGU continues to create platforms where children and youth can express their views and take part in community development.

Mayor Roble thanked partner agencies for their continued dedication, reaffirming Buenavista’s commitment to safeguarding children’s rights and building a safe, nurturing, and empowering community.

β€œTogether, we shape a future where every child can dream freely, grow confidently, and contribute to our municipality’s progress. Padayon, Buenavista on the Riseβ€”for our children and our future!” he said.

The Children’s Month Congress Celebration and Election of new officers was held on November 18, 2025 at Barangay 2, covered court.

The event was facilitated by MSWDO personnel and attended by parents and community stakeholders.
