July 31, 2025 | Twelve participants from various schools in Buenavista competed in the Jingle Contest and Quiz as part of the culmination of the Nutrition Month Celebration held at the Municipal Gymnasium under the leadership of Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Ms. Laura Balbutin. This year’s theme is: “Food Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”

Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by Executive Assistant Mr. Henry C. Bungabong, welcomed all participating teachers and students. He also announced that Mayor Roble has allocated a budget for the construction of a new multi-purpose building for the Municipal Nutrition Office and other offices. Mr. Bungabong encouraged the children to always eat healthy, saying, “What we eat today is what we are tomorrow.”

PSDS Adelaida S. Pacon, represented by Principal I Ms. Joy Jumamoy, encouraged teachers and parents to guide students in making healthy food choices. She also urged LGU leaders to remain committed to building a stronger, healthier, and more productive nation.

The participants were even more delighted when Sangguniang Bayan members Hon. Ferdinand G. Calunsag and Hon. Bernardo S. Galapin contributed additional prizes for both the Jingle and Quiz contests.
