August 26, 2025 | Mayor Joselito T. Roble led the Kumustahan sa Barangay in Agong-ong today, offering free medicines and check-ups by Dr. Ivanka Lizbeth L. Priete; free processing of birth, death, and marriage certificates; free seedlings and anti-rabies vaccinations; scholarship applications for incoming first-year college students; processing of hospital bill and burial assistance; free reading glasses from Dra. Rosejune E. Sator; and many more services.
Barangay Agong-ong Captain, Hon. Gil L. Abuzo, warmly welcomed the residents of the community.
Mayor Joselito T. Roble gladly served the people of Agong-ong, saying: โNi anhi mi aron masayod ug masulbad inyong panginahanglan, labi na kay farming ang hanapbuhay diri sa Agong-ong.โ
The Mayor also commended the Barangayโs initiatives and pledged to provide rubber flooring for their covered court.
He further encouraged residents of Brgy. Agong-ong to become PhilHealth members to avail of free laboratory services. The LGU Buenavista has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Nakilaโs Laboratory and Buenavista Diagnostic Laboratory. All patients are required to visit the Primary Health Care Center first for doctor referrals.
Mayor Roble also announced good news for next year: the LGU Buenavista will purchase a mobile clinic equipped with free laboratory and X-ray services for the next Kumustahan sa Barangay.
Additionally, the LGU is processing a MOA for a pediatrician, cardiologist, and pulmonologist, who will hold clinic duties at the Primary Health Care Center once a week.
Over 400 residents also received 5 kg of rice, packed lunch, and ice cream for the children.
The event was attended by Barangay Agong-ong officials, SB Members Hon. Bernardo S. Galapin, Hon. Lucia E. Jundis, Hon. Rhianne A. Catabas, Hon. Maribel M. Balansag, LGU department heads and staff, as well as representatives from national line agencies.
