November 26, 2025 โ Mayor Joselito T. Roble led the official opening and blessing of the new Pickleball Court at the Buenavista Central Elementary School grounds, with Fr. Joselito Galido presiding over the blessing ceremony.
Municipal Engineer Lilian T. Bokingo presented the following project details:

Source of Funds: LGU Buenavista 20% Development Fund
Scope of Work:

โข Lighting
โข Rubberized flooring
โข Sports equipment
Mayor Joselito T. Roble emphasized that the court was built to encourage the youth to engage in sports. โLibre ra mo dula diria. Invite your friends to come here and play pickleball,โ he said.
Pickleball is a sport that resembles tennis and table tennis. It is played on a doubles badminton-sized court but has its own scoring rules, paddles, balls, and court markings. The sport has gained popularity across various municipalities and cities, many of which have formed their own pickleball clubs and organizations.
The event was attended by active young players, athletes, LGU personnel, and pickleball enthusiasts from Nasipit and Butuan City.
