November 6, 2025 | The Provincial Assessorโs Office, headed by Provincial Assessor (PASSO) Junie Vinafero, spearheaded the Public Consultation on the Proposed Schedule of Market Values held at the Buenavista Gymnasium.
A total of 11 municipalities, including Cabadbaran City, participated in the consultation to be informed about the new proposed schedule of market values.
Buenavista Municipal Assessor, Mr. Felix Balansag Jr., warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of the new law on real property tax, which ensures fair and equitable property valuation.
PASSO Junie Vinafero discussed Republic Act No. 12001, also known as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act, which reorganizes the Bureau of Local Government Finance, grants tax amnesty on real property and special levies, and allocates necessary funds for its implementation.
According to PASSO Vinafero, the initiative aims to establish an accurate, fair, and transparent property valuation system across all municipalities.
The event was attended by Municipal Assessors from various municipalities in Agusan del Norte, along with landowners and taxpayers.
