Mayor Joselito T. Roble led the opening ceremony of Buena Liga Kontra Droga Season 3 on July 18, 2025, at the BCES Covered Court.
Mayor Roble expressed his gratitude to Senator Bong Go and the Philippine Sports Commission for providing funds to support the program Buena Liga Kontra Droga. He also acknowledged the efforts of the LGU coaches, namely: Jefferson Torotoro (volleyball coach), Coach Wilson (Arnis), Coach Kent Sanchez and Drilon Cultura (Tennis), and Coach Rannie Bedia (Wrestling), for nurturing the youth through sports.
Mayor Roble added, โDaghan na kaayo tag na-produce nga athletes nga na-scholar sa mga bagtik nga schools sa Luzon. I look forward sa inyong batch nga mahimong successful athletes.โ
Senator Bong Go delivered a virtual message to the young athletes, stating, โThe Philippine Sports Commission and my office will always support this program as part of my advocacy to engage the youth in sports and keep them away from drugs.โ
Coach Jefferson Torotoro shared that the current players were trained during the summer camp or school break. โRest assured that this program will continue until December through the support of the MADAC program,โ he said.
The event was attended by SB Members Hon. Ferdinand G. Calunsag Jr. and Hon. Bernardo S. Galapin; IPMR Representative Datu Manlagdaan Virgilio D. Cadeniag Jr.; Municipal Administrator Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble; Executive Assistant Mr. Henry C. Bungabong; along with sports players, coaches, parents, and teachers.
