July 21, 2025 | Twenty dart players from Buenavista gathered today for the first-ever Dart Competition in the municipality, held at the BCES Covered Court.
The event was organized by the LGU of Buenavista in collaboration with the AgNorte Dart Club, Inc., headed by Mr. Edwin Dacera.
Municipal Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by Executive Assistant Mr. Henry C. Bungabong, warmly welcomed esteemed guests from various regions. โMayor Roble is truly a sports enthusiast. He initiates programs that help divert the communityโs attention away from drugs,โ he said. Mr. Bungabong also expressed hope that this kind of event will continue to be part of future Tortosa Festival activities.
Tournament Director Mr. Jonathan Jandug introduced the participants coming from Baguio, Manila, Cebu City, Davao City, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos (Gensan), Agusan del Sur, and Surigao City. Twenty of the participants are from Buenavista.
Mr. Vic Castanares administered the Oath of Sportsmanship, while Mr. Henry Bungabong and Mr. Glenn S. Jaen led the ceremonial throw.
