September 18, 2025 โ Provincial Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante led the inauguration of two additional classrooms for Grades 3 to 6, together with Mayor Joselito T. Roble and Schools Division Superintendent Jeanie S. Mativo, CESO V, at Baluguan Elementary School, Lekda Elementary School Annex, Barangay Simbalan.
Mayor Roble extended his appreciation to Governor Amante for granting the request of the residents of Sitio Baluguan for two additional classrooms that will benefit 63 students.
He also recognized the efforts of the security forces for maintaining peace and order in the community, emphasizing that a peaceful environment is vital in attracting future investors to Buenavista.
Mayor Roble announced that ANECO will soon install electric posts in the area and will provide a karaoke set for all classrooms, aiming to create a more engaging school environment for students.
The mayor informed the crowf of the upcoming Indigenous Peoples (IP) Games this October, encouraging members of the Higaonon tribe to participate and showcase their talents and athletic skills.

Governor Angel announced that the Army Engineering Brigade will construct concrete classrooms with comfort rooms. She also pledged to provide Starlink internet connection and a flat-screen TV in every classroom once the electricity installation is completed.
The event was attended by Brgy. Simbalan Captain Walter B. Tuga, IPMR representative Datu Virgilio Manlagdaan D. Cadeniag Jr., various Datu representatives, DepEd personnel, PNP, 23rd IB, Coast Guard, and Armed Forces personnel.
