June 24, 2025 โ Over 500 beneficiaries received free services during the Kumustahan sa Barangay held in Barangay Matabao. Services included free medicines and medical check-ups provided by Dr. Ramoet Racho and Dr. Ivanka Priete; free birth, death, and marriage registration from the Local Civil Registrar; free anti-rabies vaccinations and seedlings such as kangkong, talong, and okra from the Agriculture Office, and many more.
Barangay Matabao Captain Hon. Edna A. Tabanao warmly welcomed the residents, saying,
“Unta mapahimuslan nato ang serbisyo nga gidala sa Gobyerno sa atong barangay.”
Mayor Joselito T. Roble gladly announced to the residents,
“Amo ning i-renovate inyong covered court, dunganon pod didto sa Sitio Tinago aron manindot na inyong gym.”
He also added,
“Mintras naa pami diri, hutda tanan among dala labi na ning mga tambal para sa mga bata ug tigulang.”
LCRO Ms. Teresita K. Valdehueza also announced the release of 32 birth registration certificates to members of the Badjao community.
“Kini nahitabo tungod sa pagpaningkamot sa atong mayor nga marehistro ug tarong ning mga Badjao aron maka-avail sila sa mga serbisyo sa gobyerno.”
Residents of Matabao also received a 5-kilogram sack of rice, packed lunch, and free ice cream.
The event was attended by SB Members Hon. Angelita D. Cadeliรฑa and Hon. Lucia E. Jundis; Barangay Kagawads and SK Officials; BDO Manager Ms. Christine Garcia; PSA representatives; and other NLA personnel.
