August 6, 2025 | The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) conducted a Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training (CBDRRMT) today at the Buenavista Municipal Gymnasium.
Three municipalitiesโBuenavista, Nasipit, and Carmen (BUENASCAR)โgathered to participate in the CBDRRMT.
Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by Municipal Administrator Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble, expressed her gratitude to the PDRRMO for bringing this training to BUENASCAR. โThis gymnasium was built precisely to host activities like the Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training (CBDRRMT), where knowledge and skills are shared. May this training be a great opportunity for everyone to enhance their skills and knowledge,โ she said. She also hopes the training will be enjoyable, productive, meaningful, and empowering for all participants.
DepEd Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator Mr. Jamel A. Sacar shared that the target participants include teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and young adults. The training aims to help identify hazardous areas in schools and promote advocacy for safety and preparedness.
The 2-day training was facilitated by PDRRM-PRC CPD Focal Person Mr. Jorge Vincent G. Pagaran, together with the PDRRMO staff.
