DSWD gave out “cash for work” assistance and hygiene kits to the Badjao Community today at Sitio Dumorog, Brgy. Matabao, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.
27 beneficiaries from the local Badjao Community received cash worth P3,850 each from DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS.
Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble expressed her gratitude to DSWD for the great partnership in supporting the Badjao community. “Saad ni mayor na padayon ang pag supporta ang LGU sa inyoha. Next year, apilon mo sa TESDA aron naa mo mahibal-an na panginabuhian.” She also reminds them to use their hands to work, not for begging.
The event was facilitated by DSWD paymaster Ms. Jamirah E. Babiera, MSWDO Ma. Bernadita M. Quijano, & SWO III Geno Mantondo.
Also present is Brgy. Matabao Kagawad Hon. Meralie V. Balansag, Barangay Tanods, LGU staff, and PNP.
