February 25, 2025 | The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Cargo, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), distributed checks and keys of responsibility at the covered court in Brgy. 6 today.

Fourteen People’s Organization in the Municipality of Buenavista received the grants.

The following groups received P300,000 each:

1. Municipal Wide – Buenas Mango Growers SLPA (Agricultural Farm Supplies)

2. Alubihid – United Alubihid SLPA (Agricultural Farm Supplies)

3. Malapong – Mauswagon Malapong SLPA (Community Store)

4. Poblacion 10 – Seaborn SLPA (Milkfish Production in Cage)

5. Poblacion 9 – Samahan ng Mandaragat SLPA (2 Unit Fishing Boats)

6. Matabao – Dasig Matabao SLPA (Food House)

7. Manapa – Magsuon Manapa SLPA (Water Refilling Station)

8. Malpoc – Abante Malpoc SLPA (Consumer Store)

9. Rizal – Angat Dalao-an SLPA (Consumer Store)

10. Sangay – Uswag Sataki SLPA (Agrivet and Farm Supply)

11. Talo-ao – Mauswagon Talo-ao SLPA (Consumer Store)

Three SLP Associations received P450,000 each:

1. Talo-ao – TODA SLPA (4 Unit Tricycles)

2. Brgy. 10 – Women’s SLPA (Community Store)

3. Alubihid – Mabungahon SLPA (Agrivet and Farm Supply)

DSWD Provincial Coordinator Alvin A. Bajao expressed his gratitude to the Municipality of Buenavista, led by Mayor Joselito T. Roble and MSWDO Ma. Bernadita S. Quijano, for the continuous support of the accredited Civil Society Associations in Buenavista.

Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble, in his message with all SLP beneficiaries, stating, “Nalipay ko nag tan-aw na daghan naka dawat na associations sa Sustainable Livelihood Program. Kining programa nag tudlo ka ninyo aron mo uswag ang panginabuhian. He then added, “Tagaan nakog dugang premyo uban ni Vice Mayor Rambu ug mga SB Members aron ma motivate mo na tarungon ang hinatag na capital.”

In closing, the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Social Work, Hon. Ronilyn N. Borja, encouraged all beneficiaries to take care of the seed capital provided, as this will help them generate sustainable income.
