May 8, 2025 – The Province of Agusan del Norte, headed by Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante and ably represented by Provincial Administrator Ms. Elizabeth Calo, awarded a cash incentive of ₱100,000 to the celebrant in recognition of her reaching 100 years of age.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Buenavista, led by Mayor Joselito T. Roble and represented by OSCA Head Ms. Gloria Pabillore and Mr. Saijon Malazarte, presented the celebrant with a bouquet and a cake.

Nanay Emelia Mahinay, born on May 3, 1925, and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Manapa, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, is the second individual in the municipality to receive a ₱100,000 cash incentive for turning 100 years old under the Centenarian Act.

She is also set to receive an additional ₱100,000 from the National Commission on Senior Citizens (NCSC).
