DILG Caraga Regional Director Maria Loisella E. Lucino, CESO IV, Provincial Director Ellen Vee P. Chua, and Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble led the turn-over ceremony for the first-ever T.I.P.S. Center at Brgy. Matabao, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.

DILG Caraga Regional Director Ms. Maria Loisella E. Lucino, CESO IV, presented an overview of T.I.P.S. This is an innovative program by DILG Caraga, with one pilot office per province. Brgy. Matabao, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, was fortunate to be chosen as the first barangay for the T.I.P.S. program. The DILG will do its best to strengthen all barangay officials to empower the community. “Dili na mahasol ang taga lagyo magbalik-balik sa opisina kay sa Barangay palang, kabalo na sila unsay kinahanglan pang dal-on na requirements.”

DILG Provincial Director Ms. Ellen Vee P. Chua also emphasized that the barangay is the first place where the community can seek information. Barangay officials should have the necessary information to assist their constituents.

On the other hand, Mayor Joselito T. Roble, represented by Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble, extended his message, thanking DILG for its relentless support in strengthening LGU capabilities. “Ang T.I.P.S. magsilbi nga usa ka luna dinhi sa Barangay Hall sa Matabao diin makaduol ang katawhan ug mahatagan ug hinanaling action, katiw-anan, o tubag ang ilang mga concerns, mga pangutana, ug mga gikinahanglan.” She also encouraged all 25 barangays to establish T.I.P.S. centers for the benefit of their communities.

The event was attended by LGOO VII Ms. Milariza L. Beniga, Atty. Francise Mae M. Mordeno-Pulido, Atty. Ma. Concepcion A. Betaizar, as well as personnel from BFP, PNP, MDRRMO, MAO, tourism, and health.
