May 21, 2025 โ Mayor Joselito T. Roble solemnized the union of 12 couples during the Kasalan ng Barangay Matabao held today.
Barangay Matabao Captain, Hon. Edna T. Tabanao, warmly welcomed the lovely couples and guests to the event. In her message, she emphasized, โMaging praktikal. Dili na kailangan mangutang aron bongga ang kasal. I-save nalang na para sa inyong anak.โ She added that the Barangay officials of Matabao are always happy to serve their constituents.
Local Civil Registry Officer Ms. Teresita K. Valdehueza highlighted the significant impact of marriage. Through this ceremony, 33 children will now be recognized as legitimate. She also expressed her gratitude to the Barangay officials of Matabao for organizing the event, and to the LGU for providing free services for marriage registration.
Mayor Joselito T. Roble extended his belated greetings for Araw ng Barangay Matabao. In his speech, he stressed, โMao ni ang katuyoan sa Kasalan โ aron mahatagan ug pagtagad ang inyong mga anak ug dili na sila mahimong illegitimate child.โ
Each of the 12 newlywed couples received a free cake and wine from Barangay Matabao, along with a โฑ2,000 cash gift from Hon. Joselito T. Roble.
