July 1, 2025 | Provincial Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante is represented by Provincial Administrator Ms. Elizabeth Calo, distributed laptops and school supplies from DepEd Region to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), Children in Conflict with the Law (CICLs), and Friends Rescued (FRs) at the Alternative Learning System Community Learning Center (ALS CLC) in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.

Municipal Mayor Joselito T. Roble, represented by Executive Assistant Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the realization of the ALS building. She assured that LGU Buenavista will continue to support the Department of Education, especially the ALS learners. โ€œNo learner will be left behind,โ€ she emphasized.

Meanwhile, Schools Division Superintendent Jeanie L. Mativo, Ph.D., CESO V, extended her appreciation to Governor Angel Amante and Mayor Roble for their unwavering support. She also thanked the Chinese Chamber of Commerce for donating 10 musical instruments. SDS Mativo happily announced an additional โ‚ฑ20 million in funding for ALS CLC Buenavista is forthcoming.

Provincial Administrator Ms. Elizabeth Calo remarked that Buenavista is truly โ€œbuenasโ€โ€”from the free ALS building to the free laptops and school supplies provided through the initiative of Governor Amante. She expressed hope to soon witness the success stories of ALS learners. โ€œThis is not just concrete and steelโ€”itโ€™s a symbol of hope, a dedication to dreams, and a promise of a better future,โ€ she said. She further added, โ€œThis ceremony is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together. Ang hiniusang liderato maoโ€™y tulay sa pag-uswag.โ€

The event was attended by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Dr. Hector D. Macalalag, CESO IV; SGOD Chief Ms. Glorina Siclon; ALS Focal Person Mr. Nilo Verdon; Brgy. 3 Captain Hon. Neil V. Ebarle; Brgy. 6 Captain Hon. Erenio Comiling; ALS teachers; and students.
