January 14, 2024 | Two major infrastructure projects of LGU Buenavista, namely the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) building, and a new Market Road, were turned over by its respective contractors to the LGU led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble.
Municipal Engineer Lilian T. Bokingo described the project as โCompletion of Municipal Agriculture Office Phase II, Brgy. 4, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte,” covering the following:
a. Scope of Work Phase I: Structural works (rebar, concrete, & form works), architectural works (tiling, painting & steel accessories), electrical and plumbing works;
Scope of Work in Phase II: roofing and trusses works, structural works (parking area repair/bay area), architectural works (painting & tiling works)
b. Project Cost: P11.5 million
c. Source of Funds: 20% Development Funds
d. Completed: ahead of time
On the other project, the “Concreting of road along JCT. F.D. Chan St. to Leon Kilat St., Brgy. 3, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, covers the following:
a. Scope of Work: Excavation works, aggregate base & subbase course works, and road concreting works.
b. Project Cost: P3.5 million
c. Source of Funds: 20% Development Funds
d. Completed: Ahead of time
Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ramon A. G. Bungabong excitedly welcomes everyone during the program of the completed projects at the new MAO building. He remarked, “Ang lungsod sa Buenavista is usa ka agricultural town, busa angayan na hatagan ug pagtagad atong mag-uuma ug mangingisda. Mao ni ang kamatuoran, bisan dili lilion, mo amomag og mo anyag jud. Ganahan na mopuyo diri ang mangingisda. Kini timailhan na dili na mapugngan ang paglupad sa lungsod sa Buenavista.”
Municipal Agriculturist, Ms. Gertrulyn T. Natonton, was emotional as she thanked Mayor Roble for prioritizing the agriculture sector. “Hulog ng langit ka sa amoa mayor. Grabe among kasakit sa una, pag mo ulan mag andam nami ug planggana, balde og karton.” She then added, “this is the only admin that has the heart to help the agriculture office. She also thanked the legislators in the leadership of Vice Mayor Rambu Bongabong and the Engineering office for being part of this success. Above all, she thanked almighty father for making their dreams possible.”
Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble said, “Ako nalipay nga nanindot najud ang agriculture office. Importante kini tungod kay primary source nato ang farming ug fishing.” He then added that “Gwapo na inyong office, unta paninduton pod ninyo inyong serbisyo sa atong mga farmers and fisherfolks. Daghan pa ang umaabot na mga projects, indeed, Buenavista will continue to rise.”
Mr. Orensio S. Corvera Jr. delivered his message on behalf of Cong. Dale B. Corvera, “Ug naa pa si Cong. Diri, malipay ug moanhi gyud to siya kay priority niya ang sustainable economy. He then added that the congressional office will continue to support the Municipality of Buenavista.
Sangguniang Panlungsod member Mr. Erwin B. Dano, delivered the congratulatory message of Gov. Angel Amante. On his personal message, he said “Doble akong saludo sa imo Mayor, daghan na kaayo imong nahimo nga ma transform ang Buenavista.”
The event was attended by Sangguniang Bayan members Hon. Eduardo P. Makiling, Hon. Bernardo S. Galapin, Hon. Rhianne A. Catabas, Hon. Lucia E. Jundis, Hon. Ronilyn N. Borja, Hon. Angelita D. Cadeliรฑa, Hon. Maribel M. Balansag, Hon. Ferdinand M. Calunsag, and Hon. Walter B. Tuga.
Also present are the department heads, contractors of IQA construction, LEXICON Dev’t Corp., Brgy. Captains, and other national line agencies.
