February 17, 2025 | Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble awarded the winners of the Sports Tournament Season 2 at the Municipal Children’s Park.
SB Member Hon. Eduardo P. Makiling warmly welcomed the youth participants of the event. The sports program, themed “Engkwentro La Kalye Buena Liga Para Iwas Druga,” aims to positively impact young athletes’ lives by developing physical, mental, and social skills while teaching them to be focused, disciplined, and resilient.
Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito T. Roble expressed his joy in seeing the kids involved in sports. “Padayon kamo sa pag-apil sa mga sports, aron kamo napod sunod ang mahimong athletes sa mga dagkong unibersidad.”
Mayor Roble disclosed students who received UAAP scholarships:
John Luis Immanuel Torotoro – UP (Volleyball)
Ian Dy Anobling – FEU (Taekwondo)
Josiah Malazarte – UP (Tennis)
Kyle Roble – Adamson (Tennis)
Miah Tan – San Beda (Badminton)
On the other hand, Mayor Roble thanked Senator Bong Go, head of the Philippine Sports Commission, for his generous support of childrenโs sports programs.
