March 14, 2025 | Municipal Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble, attended the turnover ceremony of three major projects in Agusan del Norte funded by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU), held at Brgy. Balang-balang, RTR.

The Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) with a bridge, worth P82.4 million, was awarded to Sitio Afga to Sitio Linao-Linao of Brgy. Lower Olave.

Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble extended her deepest gratitude on behalf of Mayor Joselito T. Roble to OPAPRU Secretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr. and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for their unwavering support in Mindanao. “This will help speed up the transport of goods and people,” she said.

On the other hand, Brgy. Lower Olaveโ€™s captain, Hon. Jerry S. Escobilla, also expressed his gratitude to Governor Angel Amante for fulfilling the wishes of their IP community.

OPAPRU Secretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr. mentioned that this achievement would not be possible without Godโ€™s help. He disclosed that many more projects would be implemented, including 15 housing units for former rebels and 40 slots for IP college students in Agusan del Norte. These students will receive P25,000 per semester, along with a P5,000 monthly allowance. Additionally, P30,000 in cash capital for business will be given to IPs.

Governor Angel Amante reiterated, “Wala gyud natulog ang atong gobyerno, atong gobyerno mamati.” She added, “Ang mga proyekto, mao ni ang kabilin sa kasunod nga henerasyon. Kinahanglan panggaon nato ang atong gobyerno.”

Other projects funded under the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) Program 2024 by OPAPRU include the following:

Upgrading/Improvement/Construction of Balang-balang, San Antonio-Kaunlaran F-M-R Phase 1, RTR.

Upgrading/Improvement/Construction of Mahaba Buenlag FMR Phase 1, Cabadbaran City.
