April 15, 2025 | The National Commission on Senior Citizen (NCSC) conducts payout to 26 octogenarian and nonagenarians at Brgy. 6, covered court today.

Senior Citizens Federation President Mr. Eusebio B. Calunsag warmly welcomed the 26 beneficiaries of the said event. He encouraged them to drink plenty of water to stay healthy. He also disclosed that another batch of cash assistance from the LGU will be distributed in October 2025, for senior citizens aged 85 years old and above.

Mayor Joselito T. Roble, ably represented by SB member Hon. Eduardo P. Makiling expressed his gratitude to the 26 beneficiaries. “Unta malipay mo sa gamayng hinatag sa NCSC ug unta mag lig-on pamo aron maka abot mo ug 100 years old.”

NCSC representative Generi B. Pinto expounded on the role of the NCSC office. ‘Dili mi taga DSWD; gitukod ni nga office para matutukan jud ang mga seniors or elderly,’ he said. He further explained that under RA No. 11982, the office provides ₱10,000 to individuals who reach the ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95 years old. He wished the beneficiaries a long life and expressed hope to see them again for another milestone.

Nanay Erlinda Beronio, an 85 yrs. old beneficiary expressed her gratitude to the Lord for giving her a long life and to the office of NCSC for the cash grant.

OSCA head, Ms. Gloria Pabillore closed the program saying “Unta maka tabang sa inyoha ang gihatag sa gobyerno ug hinaot dili mahimong gubot sa inyong pamilya ang kwarta.”
